After the frustrating pre-order process for the PlayStation 5, Sony apologized and promised that more will be available for pre-order in the next few days and that more will be available "by the end of the year."
PlayStation accessed Twitter to share the message, saying "PS5 pre-orders could have been much smoother."
"Let's be honest: PS5 pre-orders could have been much smoother," said PlayStation. “We really apologize for that. In the coming days, we will be launching more PS5 consoles for pre-order – retailers will share more details. And more PS5s will be available by the end of the year ”.
Pre-orders, according to Sony, should start the day after the PS5 Showcase which revealed the price and release date of the PlayStation 5 along with Final Fantasy 16, the 2018 God of War sequel, Hogwarts Legacy and much more.
Even those who got a PS5 pre-order weren't 100% sure they would, and retailers like Amazon started sending emails saying they might not be able to deliver to buyers on launch day, November 12, 2020.
